My experience on this game
First of all, im not english, so sorry for my writing.
I´m a begginer at this
I think this game made me progress at modeling and uv mapping, and thats all i want. I joined a jam with this game but my focus was on making a good game and not in the prize. The modelling was with blender, and the texturing to, it took me a while. The engine was unity, i dont know how to use the other ones so it wasn´t a difficult choice. The music and effects were downloaded from freesound making sure they dont have copyright,
The first days I made a prototype of the first level with bad models. The next days I modeled a lot and start thinking about the story. Everyday i just focused on doing that part of the story or level so to make sure it feels good. I think this game is more its story than its mechanics, and i like that!
The problems
After a lot of testing, the physics in unity 3d are just awful and very hard to use, it was very hard for me at first. There was a time in the middle of the jam where i didn´t have ideas, i had to ask to friends! The exams, im studying and the jam coincided with them, i got good marks, i hope i get a good mark at this too.
Conclusion
I dont care about the result ( although i would like to be number 1 obviously) but I have learned a lot of things in this jam, ive improved my skills of modelling, learned abot texturing and uv map, got better at coding, etc... For me it all, is worth it :)
